"Lockdown" by Richard Hendrick

First, let us share a poem that was passed on to us by a family from our community early one morning at a local grocery store. We greeted each other in the early hour with a warm smile, wishing we could embrace but keeping a safe space between us. We were preparing our cupboards for the uncertainty of tomorrow. They offered this poem as a gift to ease our feelings of fear, and offer comfort, it is written by Brother Richard Hendrick of Ireland on March 13, 2020. The poem reminds us even though we may feel uncertain, we can focus on spreading hope, sharing love and dreaming of our tomorrows.
